Funding bodies

A large number of funding bodies contribute to the development of the CASE research centre. The Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Engineering (LTH) at Lund University is responsible for the centre’s basic funding.

CASE was established in 2007 through a grant from the Swedish Research Council for Health, Working Life and Welfare (Forte). During the years 2007–2017, Forte contributed SEK 60 million to fund the centre’s activities.

Since 2018, the Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Engineering (LTH) have been responsible for the centre’s basic funding.

The research environments that are affiliated with CASE contribute to the centre’s funding through project grants from a variety of external funding bodies. The Ribbingska memorial fund, Forte, Formas and Swedish Research Council are a few examples.
