CASE researcher Arlind Reuter holds an LMK Postdoc: Technology in the home - a path to independence and well-being for older people: is this the "new normal" after the covid-19 pandemic?

Researchers in this field point out that technical solutions to support an aging population should be evaluated before they are implemented. A deep understanding of needs and desires after the pandemic is required so that products and solutions that produce positive results are developed.

The LMK foundation is therefore supporting in the years 2022-2023 a LMK Postdoc who in her research particularly examines the opportunity for the older people to exercise their citizenship from home with the help of digital technology.

Arlind Reuter's research is about how older socially engaged people and representatives of different associations have been able to use digital technology to maintain their commitment. She will also investigate how this changed during the covid-19 pandemic and how these organizations in general facilitate digital community engagement for older people.
