CASE is a strong research environment at Lund University. The centre’s research focuses on supportive environments for the ageing population.

The CASE research centre brings together researchers from the Faculty of Law, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Social Sciences and Faculty of Engineering (LTH). 

CASE develops and tests a broad range of scientific methods for the development of generalisable knowledge about ageing, participation, well-being and health. 

Close collaboration with “knowledge users”

Our research is primarily focused on supportive environments for the ageing population. For example, our interdisciplinary research investigates the ageing population’s opportunities for activity, participation, mobility and health. 

An essential component of all of our research projects is user participation and collaboration with actors within and outside academia. We work in close collaboration with knowledge users and a variety of partners on the local, national and international level.
